SMH West // Our Story

OVER 43 YEARS OF HISTORY.

SMH West is the western arm of long time heavy civil construction company, S.M. Hentges & Sons. SMH has been in business since 1981 with its roots in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. From its founding, our motto has been that of the legendary Walt Disney, "If you can dream it, you can do it." In 2021, with over 40 years’ construction experience in the areas of underground utilities, concrete/curb and gutter, earthwork and bridge work, the company expanded its footprint to Colorado. We now have a reputation of building quality projects safely and on time to its clients throughout the Midwest and Colorado.

SMH West is based out of Castle Rock, CO, and is led by a team of highly experienced construction professionals - both in the office and in the field.
